How we have helped others

Thousands of people suffering from depression have received help through the Aware loCall helpline, the depression support groups we run all over Ireland and our confidential email support service.

We are also putting additional online support services in place, including a depression discussion board and online support groups.

A few key facts:

  • Last year, over 200 volunteer facilitators provided more than 2,000 support group sessions for those suffering from depression and their families.
  • We've taken over 50,000 calls on our loCall helpline in the last 4 years.
  • 75 dedicated volunteers man our helpline for almost 500 hours between them each month.
  • More than 12,000 secondary-level students attend our Beat the Blues programme a year.

If you'd like to help us continue this important work, please donate online using the button above right or consider volunteering with Aware.
