As well as our online book store, we also have a bricks-and-mortar charity shop in Phibsborough in Dublin. If you’d like to help our work, we accept good-quality new and second-hand clothes and household items for second-hand sale. Please read the FAQ section below for more details.
What can I donate to the shop?
We accept good-quality and clean ladies’, men’s, and children’s clothing as well as household goods which are of saleable quality.
I have something valuable that I would like to donate – can I?
Yes, we accept higher-value or unusual goods. To enquire you can contact the shop manager on 01 830 4441.
What about wedding dresses?
We accept wedding dresses and these will be available to prospective buyers by appointment.
Can I be sure that what I donate will go towards a good cause?
Absolutely. The Aware charity shop is a member of the ICSA (Irish Charity Shops Association) and is run to the highest standards to support the work of Aware.
Can you collect my donations?
Unfortunately we are not in a position to provide collection of items due to limited resources.
How do I get to the shop?
From Dublin city centre you can travel to our shop on the number 140, 9 or 83 bus routes. The shop is located directly across the road from the Phibsborough Shopping Centre and about ten minutes’ walk from the Mater Hospital.
