Hi Maria,

Thanks for your message.

Our lectures are just informational so there’s no certificate or formal qualification involved. However, we’d be delighted to have you along next week.

Hope you can make it…

Watched programme on Suicide on RTE 1 tonight. 3T’s Console Samaritans, Pieta House all mentioned but not AWARE

AWARE not even mentioned on the AERTEL Pages

AWARE is an excellent organisation, the FESTIVAL information gives everyone an awareness of signs of depression and suicide

The public awareness of AWARE is falling back. FESTIVAL and what it means should be on Billboards and Bus Backs. The girl interviewed knew nothing and her marriage had gone

Hi Martina,

Thanks for the kind words.

Obviously we weren’t involved in making the programme last night, though the focus was very specifically on suicide, where there are other organisations who deal only with that issue. But there’s obviously a link between the two and it was good to see suicide addressed more openly as (like depression) we have a big job to overcome the stigma attached to it in this country.

As for getting our message out there, we are trying - thanks for the encouragement!

I’ll be attending this lecture and was wondering if there are parking facilities nearby?

Hi C,

Yes there are indeed - just drive to the main entrance of the hospital (see map above) and there are signposts from there.

Hope you find the lecture useful.
