Reminder - lecture this week
Don't forget that the August lecture in our free Dublin monthly lecture series takes place this Wednesday at 7.30pm in St. Patrick's Hospital, James' St.
Speakers on the night will be Mr Pearse Finegan (Director of Mental Health, Irish College of General Practitioners) and Julie, who will speak about her own personal experience of depression as a relative.

Hi,
I was at the lecture last week and both speakers were very good. Julie spoke from the heart with great honesty and judging from the response in the audience many could identify with her journey. She gave a very positive image of how families can cope and get on with a very fruitful life despite coping with what is an episodic illness.
Pearse gave an insight into the college’s work and how they are trying to support GP’s and in so doing provide better mental health services in the community. Sadly one wonders how much will depend on finances being made available for many of their plans to see the light of day.
