This Wednesday, Ed, Nick, Nico and Billy will begin a 5-day coast-to-coast run from Salthill in Galway to Dun Laoghaire in Dublin.

Covering 250km by foot over 5 days is unusual enough but in this instance, Billy is even more extraordinary - 'he' is actually a cement brick that the three lads will be carrying the entire length of their journey.

Why? Because their run is in support of Aware and two other charities, both of whom are involved in house-building in disadvantaged areas abroad (the Niall Mellon Township Trust works in Cape Town, South Africa, while Habitat for Humanity operates in Costa Rica). The money they raise will be split between these three worthy causes and it is hoped that Billy can then live out his years abroad as part of a new building in one or other country.

Best of luck lads!
