After the unfortunate cancellation of our December lecture due to the icy conditions, we're back in 2011 with the first of the new year's Dublin lectures. We kick off the 2011 series on Wednesday 12 January, when Ms. Deirdre Cowman will address the topic of Eating Disorders and Mental Health. Deirdre is a Services Co-Ordinator with Bodywhys and her experience in this area should make this an excellent talk.

Venue, as usual, is the Swift Lecture Theatre, St. Patrick's Hospital, James' St, Dublin 8 (map to St. Patrick's Hospital), with the talk starting at 7.30pm. Please arrive 10 or 15 minutes in advance to give yourself the best chance of a seat.

Entry is free, with no booking required. Hope you can make it.

Hi Carol,

We had a lecture or two in Cork last year but yes, most of our lectures tend to be in Dublin. We’re hoping to have more for people outside Dublin soon though - either by holding more events around the country or by streaming the lectures online. Keep an eye on the site for news…

Hi Janice,

We tend to cover different subjects all the time so there probably won’t be another one on eating disorders. However, the notes from the lecture may be on the site at some stage. We don’t do that for every lecture but we do it where possible.

In the meantime, I’d suggest checking out the Bodywhys website as it has more information on their support options, etc. - http://www.bodywhys.ie
