Volunteer Information Evening – Jan 25th
Our telephone helpline answers about 14,000 calls a year, helping people through some of their lowest moments. But someone has to answer those calls, which is why we're always looking for new volunteers.
To give you more of an idea of what's involved, we're holding an open information evening on Tuesday 25 January. So if you live in Dublin and are interested in finding out more, please drop in to our main office at 72 Lower Leeson St, Dublin 2 between 5.30pm and 7pm. The next closing date for volunteer applications is Friday 4 February, with interviews taking place on Thursday 10 February. Training will then take place over 5 Saturdays, beginning 19 February.

As someone who has first hand experience of mental health issues, I’d like to give back my support to other people who are in need of someone to confide in, and to support when they feel completely alone. I’m an excellent communicater and open minded and understanding. Compassion to someone with any stressing issue is key, I can be at the end of the phone to console, no mstter any problem big or smsll.
