The Fifth Annual Aware Connemara Cycle 2012 will take place on Saturday, April 21st, commencing from Peacocks Hotel in Maam Cross.

Cyclists of all abilities are once again invited to participate in the event. The event raised over €14,000 in 2011 and over €65,000 in the last four years, all of which was donated to Aware for projects providing support to people affected by depression. Aware is very grateful to the organising committee of Caroline Moran, Christine Enright, Claire Hurley, Niall McLoughlin, Michael Byrne and Breda Golden for organising this event over the past 4 years. Aware relies on events like this charity cycle for 85% of its funding.

This year’s event will include a 100 mile option as well as the usual 30 and 50 mile cycle. There is a minimum donation of €50 required per cyclist but we ask that you consider raising extra sponsorship to help us achieve the overall goal of €18,000 for 2012.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has participated in this event over the past 4 years and who have helped to raise much needed funds for Aware. We hope to see you again on the 21st of April for an enjoyable day out and be sure to spread the word amongst your family and friends!

For further information on the event, and for sponsorship cards, contact Breda on 087 2377608 or email cycleaware@gmail.com.
