Westaro Mini-Marathon

While the Dublin Women's Mini-Marathon held on Bank Holiday Monday may be over, that doesn't mean that it's time to hit the couch for winter just yet.

Not only are there are a whole host of runs and marathons that you can take part in (on behalf of Aware or otherwise), there are also events being held specifically to support our work, such as the John Sheehan 5k road race.

There's also the 18th Annual Westaro Mini-Marathon which will take place on July 24th at 7pm. A 10km road race organised by the Mayo Road Race League, the event will be held in Balla, Co. Mayo, with €2,000 on offer in prizes. A flat entry fee of €15 will apply, with all money raised going to Aware - this includes a t-shirt and goody bag for every finisher and showers will be available afterwards. There will also be a 2km mixed under-16 race with an entry fee of €2. You can register in advance online here - alternatively, entries will be accepted on the day in the Balla Community Centre.
