I’m just wondering, aren’t there ever any lectures by people who aren’t psychiatrists? If it’s always the same type of professional, we don’t get a chance to see other viewpoints.
I’d love if there were some by nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, alternative/complimentary therapists, art, movement & drama therapists and (especially) service users. I think there is huge potential to make the lecture series much more broad and interesting.

      Hi Sorcha,
Thank you for your feedback. Aware will take this on board. Our 2012 lecture recordings include presentations by service users and psychologists. Also from October this year the speakers are researchers, therapists and service users. I think you might enjoy the 2012 lecture by Aisling Curtain. We are very grateful to all our speakers for volunteering their time to provide helpful information to people learning about depression & related mood disorders.
