Funds raised from our National Appeal Day, Friday 9th October 2015 fund Aware’s Beat the Blues school programme.
Aware provides a free 70-minute positive mental health programme, Beat the Blues to over 30,000 senior-level secondary school students aged between 15 – 18 years of age nationwide each year. The programme aims to educate young people about mental health and the importance of looking after it; how to deal with concerns in life and how to build resilience: we have had very positive feedback from students and teachers about the programme.
Beat the Blues is available free of charge to every secondary school in Ireland. Our National Appeal will aim to raise enough funds to ensure that we can continue to deliver this important programme for the coming academic year.
