7 days on the French Way – Sarria to Santiago
About The Route
The French Way or Camino Francés (#caminofrances) is the most famous of all the Camino de Santiago routes, featuring in many documentaries, books and movies such as ‘The Way’.
Along the French Way, you will discover beautiful cities, charming medieval towns and stunning landscapes: the Pyrenees, the vineyards of La Rioja, the vast open spaces of the Meseta, the rugged mountains of Léon and O Cebreiro and finally the peaceful hills of rural Galicia before reaching Santiago de Compostela.
The last section of the French Way from Sarria to Santiago is also the most social part of the route, where you will meet many fellow trekkers and find the real spirit and camaraderie of the Camino!
There are limited places available on this special Camino walk for Aware. Please note that the registration deadline for this walk has passed.
If you would like further information about the walk, suggestions on what to bring and how to start a fitness plan, Camino Way have a selection of free eBooks to help get you started.
If you would like to take part in any of the walks organised by Camino Way in advance of the trip, further details can be found here.
If you need a t-shirt or sponsorship card or any fundraising materials please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The simplest and most secure way to fundraise is setting up an online fundraising page.
In the meantime, don’t forget if you’re buying new walking shoes or boots to get them 8 to 10 weeks in advance so you have a chance to break them in.
