January Lecture: Listen back to Dr. Claire Hayes

January Lecture: Listen back to Dr. Claire Hayes

Dr. Claire Hayes, Clinical Director with Aware and clinical psychologist with over 25 years’ experience, presented the January lecture in the Aware Lecture Series 2017. Her presentation on ‘Patience, Kindness and Understanding in the face of depression and anxiety’ is now available to listen back

In the lecture, Claire talks about the moments and times in her own life when she learned the true value of patience, kindness and understanding. She also highlights the importance of these in times when we experience anxiety or depression, and how we can go about showing these to ourselves, even at the most difficult of times.

The next lecture in the 2017 series takes place on February 8th and looks at sleep and its role in mental health. Breege Leddy from the Bon Secours Insomnia Clinic will present. Lecture starts @ 7.30pm sharp, all welcome, no entrance fee.

Aware lectures are posted on the Aware website, YouTube and SoundCloud channels a few days after they take place. (Please note there is no video playback available for Claire’s January lecture.)
