Ann Sheridan discusses recovery in mental health. What it is, who it is for, the latest research and how recovery works in practice. Ann is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Health Systems in UCD. She is an experienced clinical practitioner, teacher and researcher in mental health and illness; recovery; physical health issues and palliative care for those with mental illness. She is registered as a psychiatric and general nurse; is a registered nurse teacher, with a Bachelors’ degree in nursing, Masters degree in Education, and PhD in Nursing.
