New Online Relatives Support Group

New Online Relatives Support Group
7.30pm – 9:00pm
Wednesday 11th July 2012

Please note to participate in this group you will need to register online in advance.

From Wednesday 11th July, Aware will host a new weekly online support group meeting specifically for relatives or friends who are supporting a loved one through depression. Family and friends have an important role in helping someone to manage their experience of depression, and it is important that all involved have access to support and information in order to ensure that they are best placed to manage the condition and its impact.

If you are a relative or close friend of someone who is experiencing depression, and you would like to join this online support group, simply register your details for free at least 24 hours prior to the meeting to ensure we can activate your login.

The online meeting offers people the chance to talk about their experience and how it has affected them, as well as to explore options that are available. There is a maximum of 10 people per meeting and the group is facilitated by two Aware-trained volunteers. As with all Aware services, the online support groups are confidential within normal limits*.

More information about our online support groups is available here. Other relative support options include face-to-face depression support groups all over Ireland; email support service, and loCall helpline, currently available Mon-Fri 10am-10pm
