The sixth annual Aware Connemara Cycle

This will be the sixth year of the popular cycling event which has raised more than €75,000 so far for Aware. The event is gaining in popularity each year and in 2012 over 150 cyclists took part.
This year there will be two cycle routes to choose from: a 62 kilometre route and a 125 kilometre route, both of which start and finish in Leenane and take in the beautiful surrounds of Connemara, Co Galway. Cyclists of all abilities are invited and encouraged to take part and all funds raised will go towards Aware’s information, education and support services.
There are prizes for the first three cyclists home in both the 62 kilometre and 125 kilometre events as well as a few spot prizes! So get in gear and join the 2013 Aware Connemara Cycle: 62km or 125km, you decide!
*Please note participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an older adult.
Individual Registration Fee: €100
Team of Two Registration Fee: €180
Reduced registration of €55 for students, people who are unemployed and group bookings of 5 or more.
Aware also encourages participants to raise €100 in sponsorship in addition to the registration fee. This is to enable Aware to continue to maintain and grow our support services to meet the needs of over 450,000 people experiencing depression in Ireland today.

Casual cyclists will take around 3 – 4 hours to complete the route; experienced cyclists will complete the route within 2 hours or so. This route will start from Leenane at 11am on the day.

Casual cyclists will take around 5 – 7 hours to complete the route; experienced cyclists will take around 4 – 5 hours. This route will start at Leenane at 10am on the day.
