Going the distance for depression.
The sixth annual Aware Connemara Cycle took place on Saturday, April 20th.
This event has cumulatively raised over €85,000 so far for Aware. A wonderful group of cyclists completed one of the two routes 125km or 62km both of which started and finished in Leenane, Co. Galway

Thank you to West Ireland Cycling for providing a back-up service during the cycle to help fix any small punctures or repairs and to Leenane Hotel for providing discount rates for participants and spot prizes. Also many thanks to Galway Bay Hotel and The Royal Marine Hotel for providing spot prizes and to Tesco Oranmore for providing refreshments enroute.
The event would not be possible without the huge effort of the race committe: Breda Golden,Caroline Moran, Aoife Lyons, Michael Byrne and Christine Enright and of course all the participants who cycled the distance to support Aware.
