870 supporters of Aware came together on St. Patrick’s Day to complete our annual Harbour 2 Habour Walk, a 16 mile route from Howth to Dun Laoghaire or vice versa. Some of our supporters have walked this route many times for Aware over the last 9 years. It’s a pleasure to experience the positive atmosphere on the day whatever the weather brings. This year was crisp and sunny, a welcome relief to all who walked in the snow last year!
Aware would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our walkers who participate in this annual event and who raise thousands in funding each year that is needed to develop and maintain information, education and support services for people who experience depression. All of us at some point in our lives come into contact with depression, either by experiencing it ourselves or knowing a family member, friend or colleague who experiences it. Aware holds annual events like Harbour 2 Harbour to raise vital funds as well as increase awareness about positive mental health and positive support options now available.
We appreciate your continued support. Next year will be the 10th annual Aware Harbour 2 Harbour Walk and we hope to make it the best one yet. See you next year!
