Help us encourage people to have meaningful conversations about mental health and raise funds for Aware’s nationwide support services. Hosting a tea party or coffee morning could help your friends or colleagues to understand more about mental health and most importantly how to get help if they or someone they love is experiencing a problem. Remember, ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’.
Get involved in the conversation on January 30th and 31st, 2014
All you have to do is get together a group of friends, family or colleagues, put the kettle on and invite them to make a donation to Aware – it’s as simple as that!
Choose your tea party topics from the menu below.
- What do we do if we are concerned about a young person?
- What do we do if we are concerned about a partner or family member?
- Someone I know has depression, what do I do?
- Coping Skills to Deal with Financial Stress
- Lifestyle Choices and Mental Health
Help us highlight the need for meaningful conversations around mental health and also highlight the important, in many cases, life-saving services that Aware provides free of charge. Having helpful conversations around mental health is vital for the health of the nation.
There are many ways you can raise money at your event: you can ask your guests for an attendance fee, a donation to Aware or charge guests for their tea or coffee.
You don’t have to be an expert to talk about mental health, but you can help people by educating them about our services and supporting the work of Aware.
