A team at NUI Galway are conducting a clinical trial study on bipolar disorder.

Nature of the study

SCOPE-BD is a randomised controlled trial investigating if IV Scopolamine (Hyoscine) has a rapid treatment effect for individuals with Bipolar Disorder experiencing a depressive episode.

Participants

In order to take part you need to have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, be at least 18 years of age and are currently experiencing a depressive episode.
