Young Adult Support Groups

Young Adult Support Groups

These support & self care groups are for young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder or related mood disorders. They are open to anyone aged 18 - 26 years of age looking for support with their mental health. Peers share their experience and understanding and offer an exchange of thoughts and techniques around self-care and resilience.

A proactive approach is used throughout the Support & Self Care Group meeting in which participants can express emotion, acknowledge feelings, question thoughts and beliefs and focus particularly on helpful actions they can take.

Like all Aware support & self care groups they are free to attend and are facilitated by two trained volunteers.
